NAGA’s Executive Director, Ladd Johnson, was selected as a panelist for CropLife America & Rise Annual Conference on April 17, 2013 in Washington, DC. CropLife America and Rise represents the developers, manufacturers, formulators and distributors of plant science solutions for agriculture and pest management in the United Sates. In addition to NAGA’s Executive Director, other panelist included Mr. Earl Garber, President of the National Association of Conservation Districts; Mr. Leonard Jordon, Regional Conservationist for the East for the Natural Resources Conservation Service; Dr. Mark Connor, DuPont Crop Protection and Management and manager of Chesapeake Farms, a farm the demonstrates, promotes and researches sustainable practices in agriculture and wildlife management.

Executive Director Johnson spoke on the importance of a balance between agriculture and wildlife management. He also presented the importance of wildlife to agriculture economics by demonstrating how game bird production and hunting preserves can be combined with general agriculture. He also presented the potential hazards that may present themselves in the future of wildlife and agricultural management.

After all presentations, there was a lengthy period of question and answer. Over two hundred and fifty persons attended the conference from all sections of industry and government.
