Kalmbach Feeds, a longtime advertiser in NAGA News, is a Diamond Sponsor of the first Hunting Club Conference, which will be held July 18-20 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, at Deer Creek Lodge. Kalmbach, the makers of Wild Flush Gamebird Feed, has been making feed products for gamebird businesses for more than 30 years. The 59-year-old, third-generation family business also makes feed products for livestock and deer.

In 2013 the company held its first Agribusiness Conference in Columbus, Ohio. The event, which caters to its customers, inspired newly elected NAGA President Peg Ballou to pursue a conference that similarly caters to the largest segment of the gamebird industry, hunting preserves.

Former NAGA President Sam Ballou, a longtime Kalmbach customer, approached the company for support to get the idea off the ground, and they readily agreed. For Kalmbach, it was a no brainer.

The company’s President, Paul Kalmbach Jr., and Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Jeff Neal, are hunters. While gamebird products aren’t the bulk of their sales, NAGA members are important to them. According to Paul, gamebird businesses are “a meaningful segment of our customers that we value and love.”
