Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign
No trip to Las Vegas is complete without stopping to take your picture with this famous Las Vegas sign. The 25-foot-tall sign is located in the median at 5100 Las Vegas Boulevard South. The sign was built and installed in 1959 and is on the Nevada Register of Historic Places.
Fremont Street Experience (“Old Las Vegas”)
Also known as “Glitter Gulch,” the Fremont Street Experience is in the heart of Las Vegas’ downtown casino corridor and is the location of many famous (or once famous) casinos. Vegas’ Fremont Street has free nightly light shows featuring 12.5 million lights and 550,000 watts of amazing sound. Fremont Street features a 77-foot high zip line, 200,000-gallon shark aquarium, street performers and free concerts. This attraction is free to walk and a popular location for people watching!
Fountains of Bellagio
The 200-foot-tall fountains at the Bellagio Hotel are choreographed to music for performances. It is the most ambitious, complex water feature ever conceived and it’s absolutely free to enjoy. The Bellagio also features two restaurants that overlook the fountains for those who want a dinner and a show experience.
Shows
There are so many shows in Las Vegas that you can’t possibly see them all, but it’s worth catching one or two while you’re in town. Some of the more famous shows include the various Cirque Du Soleil shows, David Copperfield, Penn & Teller, Blue Man Group, Criss Angel, Barry Manilow, multiple comedy clubs, and endless amounts of tribute shows plus so much more. Restaurants
Las Vegas has a plethora of restaurants to choose from, no matter what you’re in the mood to eat. A few of the more notable options include: Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen at Caesars Palace, Wolfgang Puck’s Cut at the Palazzo, Emeril Lagasse’s Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian, Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas and Nobu Restaurant at Caesars Palace.
Red Rock Canyon
For those wanting to escape the man-made glitter of Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon is 15 miles west of the city and boasts a 13-mile driving road and several hiking trails, all featuring the rugged and beautiful red rocks that give the park its name. Admission is free.
